Trialogue - the Game Changer
We are now actively launching Trialogue in the US market. At the SIETAR 15th Anniversary conference in Orlando, on the 14th of October last year, we presented the classic Trialogue workshop and it was very well received. We also presented the concept as “A gamechanger in cross-cultural diversity management”. Why so? We focused on 5 major significant differences between Trialogue and more traditional psychology assessments like MBTI and tools that measure cultural values.
First of all, Trialogue effectively combines several concepts in a single tool which permits multiple applications. The assessment + seminar utilise concepts from psychology, sociology, linguistics and pedagogics. The multiple functions for use are self-awareness, communication, teams, leadership, innovation, change management, kick-offs, as well as multi- and intercultural use.
Another major difference, the mainfocus is not on individual internal qualities, but on social construction of the diversified categories of Red, Blue and Green. The consequence is a more predictable collective development of shared categories and models for interaction that in a normative way reinforces the instant use of the individual learning.
The third difference is the way the positive perception of the categories of Red, Blue and Green build a shared understanding of equality. During the seminar participants evolve a positive view that diversity is good if unique qualities are respected, utilized and integrated. The concept diversifies at individual level but unifies at the collective level. Independent researchers have documented that the seminar positively contributes to a reduction of distrust, increased relational self and creativity.
Fourth, although the normal use is seminars with 15-30 participants, Trialogue can and has been used with as many as 200-300 participants in the same room at the same time. It takes about 1.15 hour. Following the seminar participants say that the key learnings are easy to understand and implement.
Fifth, Human Factors distribute Trialogue without the need for certification seminars for trained personnel and without any annual fees. The concept of Diversity Icebreaker started off in a Norwegian context in 1995, but has been used by more than 150,000 people in more than 60 countries.
We are now entering the US market with the label “Trialogue”. If you are interested in using Trialogue yourself or if you want to discuss how Human Factors and our network of consultants can support you, please contact us. If you know anyone in the US who may be interested to utilise Trialogue in their training or consultation, or might be interested in becoming a sales or training representative, please pass on this information.
